An enormous wolf

Tout à coup il entendit un effroyable rugissement ; en se retournant, il vit, à dix pas de lui, un loup énorme qui le regardait avec des yeux flamboyants.
Que viens-tu chercher dans mes domaines ? dit le loup d’une voix formidable. (Le bon petit Henri)

Suddenly he heard a terrible growl. He turned and saw within ten steps of him an enormous wolf gazing at him with flaming eyes.
