Plate showing an ancient crooked and truncated oak with a split bark leaving the sapwood exposed. The King Oak was described as follows by the Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland:^[1] The largest and oldest oak tree in Windsor Forest, ‘the King Oak,’ measures 26 feet in circumference at 4 feet from the ground.
