Description:

Hand-colored lithograph showing a lesser spotted eagle (currently known as Clanga pomarina) perching on a branch in the foreground and a second one further away. According to the author, The Plate represents a young bird, about two-thirds of the natural size, with a very much reduced figure of the adult in the distance.
