Iguana
IGUANA s. ( Carib yana). Herpet. genus of saurians, which includes three or four species of great lizards that inhabit Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, and whose flesh is appreciated. The common iguana (iguana tuberculata, Laor.) is 4.35 m to 4.75 m long; It is found in tropical South America and in the West Indies. Its color is green on the back, with bluish and slaty hues; Its belly is greenish yellow.
