Robert Emil Gustav Kretschmer was a German illustrator, known for his illustrations in Brehms Tierleben. He travelled to Africa as an ethnological and zoological illustrator along with Alfred Brehm and Duke Ernest II of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in 1862.
