Description:

A menu written on a scroll of paper is nailed to an imaginary board, while below, a diminutive, impish creature pours acid from a bottle into a trough where a plate is being held in place or retouched by a similar creature holding a burin. Fish and poultry bones seem to rise from the acid fumes that form.

The caption reads in the original French: Menu pour la Société des Aquafortistes.
