Description:

The redcurrant (Ribes rubrum) is a shrub in the family Grossulariaceae. It can grow to about 5 ft (1.5 m) high and is frost hardy. It produces bunches of ten to twenty small berries that can be eaten raw or cooked and have a strong acid flavor.
