Description:

An ornate barge carries four figures, framed by heavy drapery pulled back to reveal a backdrop of dark, dense foliage. At the center, a seated woman faces the viewer, holding a large, decorated fan; her attire features a patterned bodice and a high pouf adorned with feathers and floral ornaments. Opposite her sits a diminutive figure in an Eastern-inspired headdress, while to her left, a standing man wearing an imposing wig leans slightly forward. To the right, a man in an embroidered jacket stands with his back to the viewer, a hat resting atop a mass of undulating curls.
