Book the Fifth. Emblem VIII. A skeleton is sitting on a rock, legs crossed, with its head resting on one hand while a child trapped inside its ribcage tries to get out.
For this series of illustrations, the main figurative artwork was carried out by Charles Henry Bennett and the ornamental part by William Harry Rogers.
