Three women in medieval dress walk side by side while engaged in a conversation. One of them holds the hand of a child carrying a cake.
Adèle Laisné, along with her sister Aglaé, worked in her father’s workshop, active in the 1840s. Other Engravings signed “Laisné” without any mention of a first name could be the works of any of the three.
The caption reads in the original French:
Les trois bourgeoises et l’enfant.
