Description:
A male gray peacock-pheasant (Polyplectron bicalcaratum) is perched on a low branch of a tree, while a female is on the ground.
The gray peacock-pheasant has attractive plumage mottled with dark gray, buff, and white; the male displays blue or bluish-green eyespots on the tail and wings, while the female has them only on the tail. It is a bird in the family Phasianidae, native to Asia.
