Description
Harold, also known as Harald Harfagr, or HÃ¥rfagre (meaning Fairhair in Norwegian) lived approximately between 850 and 932 of our era, and was the first king of Norway. Here he stands next to a tree on which a crow or raven is perched and seems to be whispering to him.
This illustration was created for a poem by George Borrow and first published in Once a Week, 1862.
