Description:

Color lithograph showing 18th century Egyptian earthenware decoration with arabesques of stylized flowers and foliage forming rows of chevrons pointing alternatively upward and downward, thanks to the symmetrical structure of the tile design. A border runs on two sides of the panel while a second one is positioned at its uppermost edge.

The caption reads in the original French: Faïences émaillées à double jeu. (XVIIIe siècle.)
