Ring-Tailed Lemur—Sketch for the Museum Leverianum

Watercolor sketch made to be later engraved and included as an illustration to the entry on the ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta). The completion in pen and ink of the tail of the second lemur is a later addition which isn’t found in the engraving. It may or may not be by C. R. Ryley’s hand.
