Stipple engraving depicting a branch of Rosa × centifolia caryophyllea with buds, leaves, and pink blooms whose shape is reminiscent of carnation flowers. Rosa × centifolia caryophyllea is a heterotypic synonym of  Rosa × centifoliathe cabbage rose. 

The caption reads in the original French: Rosa centifolia caryophyllea — Rosier Œuillet [sic].
