Stipple engraving depicting a branch of Rosa stylosa, referred to by the author as Rosa brevistyla leuchoroa, showing white and yellow blooms along with buds and serrated leaves. Rosa brevistyla var. leuchoroa is a heterotypic synonym of the currently accepted species Rosa stylosa, the short-styled field rose.

 

The caption reads in the original French: Rosa brevistyla leuchoroa — Rosier à court-style (var. à fleurs jaunes et blanches).
