Bookplate of John Byrne Leicester Warren

A twig of bramble bearing blackberries lies on a table across sheets of handwritten papers and sketches above which a sculpted caryatid, part of a coin cabinet, seems to be rising while bookshelves can be seen in the background.

A note specifies that “this bookplate, designed and engraved by William Bell Scott, was a gift to the writer.”
