Stipple engraving of a common clubhook squid (Onychoteuthis banksii) displaying an overall purplish color, with its sagittate fins oriented toward the bottom of the picture and its arms directed toward the top. 

The clubhook squid is a mollusc in the family Onychoteuthidae. It lives in the central and north Atlantic areas, where at night it can be found at the surface.
