Description:

A man traveling on horseback in moonlit woodland has fallen unconscious as a ghoulish figure riding behind leans over him. Meanwhile, his horse, looking extremely upset, jumps into a cascading stream in which two other grim-looking figures with webbed hands seem to be lying in wait, ready to pounce. Elfinland Wud is a ballad by William Motherwell.
