Description
Hand-colored lithograph showing a European honey buzzard (Pernis apivorus) perched on a branch and feeding on wasp larvae from a wasp nest it has torn open. Some disturbed wasps are flying about while other birds (an adult female and two immature birds, according to the author) can be seen in the background perching on the same tree.
