Hand-colored lithograph showing a female snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus) sitting on a rock in the foreground and two other owls seen from the back at some distance. Further in the background, beyond a stretch of water, two white bears can be seen on an ice floe, one of them feeding on a seal.
