Anatomical illustration showing the innards of a female grass snake (Natrix natrix) from the base of the head to the cloaca. The adipose tissue which covers the part of the trachea located above the heart and the entire small intestine has been removed.
The caption reads in the original German: Anatomie einer weiblichen Ringelnatter.
