Description
The early Canterbury Cathedral was destroyed by fire in 1067 and rebuilt a first time between the eleventh and twelfth centuries, and then a second time from the fourteenth to the sixteenth centuries, when the present nave and the Bell Harry tower were erected. The Norman northwest tower, which can be seen on this picture was demolished in 1834.
